How to Choose an IB Coaching Centre in Gurugram

Gurugram has plenty of tutoring options, but the IB is unlike the CBSE or ICSE most centres are built around. Choosing the right IB coaching centre matters more than most parents realise. Here is a practical checklist before you enrol.

1. Are the tutors IB specialists?

The IB rewards command terms, mark-scheme language, and skills like evaluation — not rote learning. Ask whether tutors teach the IB syllabus specifically, or whether they mainly teach other boards and treat IB as an add-on.

2. How small are the batches?

Essays, IAs, and past papers only improve with feedback. A 30-student batch cannot give that. Look for small groups or one-on-one attention.

  • Ask how many students are in a typical batch
  • Ask how often written work is marked and returned

3. Do they support the IA and Extended Essay?

Internal Assessments are worth 20–30% per subject and the Extended Essay sits in the IB core. Strong centres mentor these properly — within academic-integrity rules — rather than leaving you to figure them out alone.

4. Can they show real results?

Ask about grade improvements and outcomes. Wadhwa Institute, in Sector 55, coaches IB English, French, Business Management, Economics, and Maths (AA/AI) in small groups, online and in-person — with structured IA and exam support. Book a free consultation to see if it fits.
